By The INQ Digital Academy, a collaborative project by Estudio ALVMTR and Estudio MNG, breathes new life into an old tenement apartment nestled in the Cordón neighborhood. This transformation aims to create a contemporary, versatile space suitable for operating a Digital Dentistry academy.
A Fusion of Functionality
Expanding upon an existing clinic within the complex, the revamped space is designed to accommodate academic meetings, workshops, and courses. It serves as a multifunctional hub where learning and innovation converge.
Centralized Design
At the heart of the apartment lies a central triple-height space crowned by a skylight. This architectural feature serves as the sole source of light and ventilation for three distinct rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. Emphasizing openness and adaptability, the layout revolves around this focal point.
Dematerializing Boundaries
To facilitate seamless transitions between configurations, the design incorporates pivoting panels that allow for flexible subdivision. These panels enable the transformation of spaces, with one room doubling as a dental office while others merge with the central area. This adaptability caters to diverse needs, whether it be hosting conferences, facilitating collaborative work, or providing a cozy lounge setting.
