Anticipated Vehicle Launches in India April 2024

As 2024 unfolds, India’s automotive landscape has already seen the introduction of various cars and two-wheelers, including the BYD Deal, Tata Punch EV, Kawasaki Z650RS, and Mercedes-Benz GLS. April continues this trend with the imminent arrival of several noteworthy automobiles, spanning both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs).

Skoda Superb

Skoda is gearing up to launch its renowned sedan, the Superb, in India on April 3. Expected to be imported as a completely built up (CBU) vehicle, the Superb will likely command a premium price. Offering two engine options – a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine – the Superb promises luxury features including a 13-inch infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, and three-zone automatic climate control.

Ather Rizta

Ather Energy, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, is set to unveil its inaugural family scooter, the Ather Rizta, at its community day event on April 6. While details remain scarce, the Rizta is expected to feature a spacious seat and adopt a more traditional design compared to Ather’s existing 450X electric scooter.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

Anticipated for launch is the facelifted version of Mahindra’s popular compact SUV, the XUV300. Retaining its existing five variants, the XUV300 facelift will offer both diesel and petrol powertrains. Enhancements are expected to include a significant design overhaul, along with improved interiors and features.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer, is slated to introduce the 2024 Swift in March. This iteration of the Swift is set to feature a revamped design, a new three-cylinder engine for enhanced fuel efficiency, and upgraded interiors. Powering the Swift will be a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, paired with a five-speed CVT transmission.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor

Toyota is anticipated to unveil the Urban Cruiser Taisor in April, a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Featuring slight design alterations from its Fronx counterpart, the Taisor is expected to offer only a 1.2-litre engine option, omitting the turbo engine variant.

Honda Activa Electric

Honda, a prominent player in India’s two-wheeler market, is poised to enter the electric segment with the launch of the electric version of its popular scooter, Activa. Expected to retain the design of its ICE counterpart, the Activa Electric is projected to offer a range of approximately 100 km on a single charge, competing with models like the TVS iQube and the Bajaj Chetak.

As April approaches, automotive enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of these anticipated vehicles, each poised to make its mark on the dynamic Indian automotive industry.
